JACKSON NH – A night with Acoustic Nuisance is a unique trip through the musical minds of it’s main protagonists: multi-instrumentalist Scots born Davey Armstrong……. fellow Scot and guitar/guitar-synth Folk-Rocker Simon Crawford…. and acoustic guitar and bouzouki playing London-Irishman Kevin Dolan..all ably accented by Becky Armstrong’s fine vocals, for an entertaining blend of acoustic/electric virtuosity and vocal harmony…
Humour is ever present, as is audience participation, and alongside a varied menu of Celtic and Americana, plus their own original tunes and songs, you are likely to be confronted by guitar, tin-whistles, Irish and Scottish Pipes, bouzouki, banjo, harmonica, bass-pedals and synths – and that’s just from Davey(!) …often while singing and playing 2 or 3 at the same time…
Hailing from the British Isles but living right here in the Mount Washington Valley, the band is looking forward to another fun night in the Cold River Radio Show Mini-Series and hoping old friends (and new!) will join them at this pre-Christmas event. Come on out!

JACKSON NH – We are celebrating our 32nd year of the “Return of the Pumpkin People”… due to the success of having the Conway’s involved during our 25th Anniversary celebration they will be joining in again this year. This event runs from October 1st through the 31st, 2016. We are extending the dates at the request of so many of our visitors and members. In order to be able to offer this amazing event for such a long period of time we have to make some minor exceptions to the rules of play. Therefore, live pumpkins will only be necessary for the first 14 days. Once the live pumpkins are in need of replacement participants may use artificial replacements. We ask that everyone understands once we have passed October 20 we can not guarantee that all displays will still be standing and or in great condition. Weather is always a factor.

Within the festival grounds children have their own Kinderplatz tent complete with arts & crafts, face painting and other mini-games organized by the Mount Washington Valley Children’s Museum. Outside, youngsters will also find a giant inflatable obstacle course to play in.
For the adults, a staple of the Attitash Oktoberfest is the Samuel Adams Stein Hoist Competition. A competition of strength and concentration, participants over 21 years of age will attempt to hold a full beer stein with a straight arm parallel to the ground for as long as possible.
