2nd Annual Festival of TreesCONWAY NH – The Festival of Trees, a signature holiday event for the whole family to enjoy. Salyards Center for the Arts in Conway Village, New Hampshire will be transformed into a vibrant and magical wonderland of Christmas elegance. Young and old, alike, will delight in the displays of beautifully decorated and lighted Christmas trees, each one unique and all available for a chance to win and take home to decorate their own home this holiday season.

Admission to the Festival of Trees is $10 for adults and children 12 and under are always free!
Raffle tickets will be available for sale ($10 for 25 tickets).

This year proceeds from the Festival of Trees will benefit Carroll County RSVP whose mission is to enhance our communities by engaging volunteers, age 55 and over, matching their experience, talent and interests to meaningful services within our communities.

eastern slope ski clubNORTH CONWAY NH – 45th Annual Eastern Slope Ski Club Ski Sale set for Nov. 13th & 14th. The Eastern Slope Ski Club (ESSC) will be hosting its 45th annual gear sale at the North Conway Community Center on Friday, November 13th (3pm-8pm) and Saturday, November 14th (9am-2pm).

Plan on dropping off your clean and ‘modern’ Alpine, Cross Country and Snowboard gear you’d like to sell at the North Conway Community Center on the evenings of Wednesday, November 11th and Thursday, November 12th between 6pm-8pm. Each item requires a tag ($1 each), which will be available for purchase when you are dropping items off. Or, you can save time and buy them NOW at Bob and Terry’s Sports Outlet in North Conway.

All unsold items (and proceeds from your sales) MUST be picked up at the Community Center on Sunday, November 15th between 10am-12pm. Anything NOT picked up will be considered a donation, and all proceeds from the sale will benefit the ESSC.

NORTH CONWAY NH – Mark your calendars!  The Conway Area Humane Society’s 18th Annual Walk for the Animals and Bark in the Park is Saturday, September 26 in Schouler Park!

2015 Walk for the Animals and Bark in the Park Pet Expo Come join jus for a fun-filled family day for dogs and people who love them while raising funds for homeless animals.  You can raise money as team member or individually with a dog or in honor or memory of a dog.

To participate, just go to www.conwayshelter.org and set up your personal Firstgiving page.  Then spread the word by sending the link to all your friends near and far to support you.  Or, you can also register by picking up a brochure for the event at many local businesses including Four Your Paws Only and at the Conway Area Humane Society, or give us a call at (603) 447-5605 and we will mail you one.

There will be prizes for the top fundraisers.  All registered walkers will receive a specially designed t-shirt and other great items. Registration will take place on Friday, September 25 from 5-7 p.m. at Four Your Paws Only and on the morning of the Walk for the Animals, Saturday, September 26 in Schouler Park in North Conway beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The Walk begins with a Blessing of the Animals and participants will set out for Whitaker Woods at 10:00 a.m.  An awards ceremony will follow the walk and then the Pet Expo begins with vendors, demonstrations, contests and a dog show.

Harvey Baldwin Mountain Top Music Scholarship Fund BenefitJACKSON NH – On Monday evening, September 7th, at the Wildcat Tavern in Jackson, The Harvey Baldwin Benefit Band featuring Jonathan Sarty, Audrey Drake, Peter Lawlor, Don Walden, Ray Ryan, and Miss Maybelle will perform. This is the 5th annual Harvey Baldwin Memorial Fundraiser with proceeds going to the scholarship fund of our local community music school, Mountain Top Music Center. Once again, the Tavern will generously donate a buffet dinner, serving from 6:00-8:00 with music and dancing until closing. Recommended donation is $20 and tickets may be purchased at the door.
