JACKSON NH – The Village of Jackson, New Hampshire is preparing for one of it’s favorite events of the year: The 16th New Hampshire Sanctioned & Jackson Invitational Snow Sculpting competition. Beginning at noon on Friday January 29th teams from all over the Northeastern part of the United States will converge on this quintessential New England family mountain village. Sculpting will begin on Friday the 29th, continue through the weekend and finish by noon on Sunday the 31st. Spectators are welcome to view the entire process but to see finished pieces we highly recommend you come back on Sunday the 31st. See first hand how our sculptors take 8’ high by 4 foot round cylinders of compacted snow and create incredible art frozen in time. Sculpting pieces usually continue to stand for at least a week after the event giving visitors ample time to get coveted photos. At night, during the event, the Sculptures are lit up giving them an entirely different perspective. With more than a dozen teams expected this year the viewing promises to be spectacular!
Location: Jackson Village Park
Date: Friday, Saturday & Sunday – January 29,30 & 31 2016
