The Cold River Radio Show

CONWAY NH – This Cold River Radio Show Headlines Old Eleven playing traditional and original bluegrass music featuring some of the state of Maine’s best and most venerable musicians. Comprised of veterans of the Portland bluegrass music scene, ( Lincoln Meyers, Keith Hillyard, Taylor Smith, Chris Dombrowski, and Ted DeMille) Old Eleven covers lots of ground from Bill Monroe to Billy Strings along with many contemporary original songs penned by guitarist Ted DeMille. Crisp instrumentals, heart-felt two- and three-part harmonies, and compelling arrangements characterize Old Eleven’s ensemble. It’s Maine Bluegrass worth listening to.

Singer/Songwriter Mehuman, Mehuman means, “The Faithful One”. Artist, activist, advocate, adventurer and true to her ancient name, Mehuman’s songs invite the listener into her fearless transparency. Mehuman’s signature sound, “folk hop for hip folk” is Affrilachia – Americana, is rooted in the traditional rhythms of Gospel, Jazz, and Blues. With keening spirit-filled melodies enveloping folky lyricism Mehuman sings from her soul with a sacred conviction that lovingly ministers to troubled and despairing hearts with one tested truth, “There is always Hope.” In times when the world needs a more grace, and a lot more love, both are found in rare abundance in Mehuman’s life and music.
