Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce kicks off spring with the 16th Annual Chili Cookoff, Saturday, April 6 from 11 – 3 at the North Conway Community Center. Professional, non-profit, home chefs and… new this year… kids, bring their best so come hungry and ready to enjoy chili of all kinds, cornbread, sweet treats, music courtesy of Wildcat Tavern, and more.
Take a stroll through the village for Red Hot deals at local retailers. We’ll see you at the end the day at Abenaki Trail Restaurant & Pub for the awards party. Tickets are just $15 adults, $7 children 12 & under, 4 & under free. Tickets may be purchased online or at the door. See you at the Chili Cookoff!
Make a day of it and join Rockhopper Races for a fun 5k and 10k at 9 am. The race starts an finishes in Schouler Park. Your entry includes admission to the Chili Cookoff!

Chocoholics cross country ski or snowshoe the trails to enjoy chocolate prepared every way imaginable. Many return year after year to enjoy the Chocolate Festival, often returning with a larger group of friends each time! Trailside businesses prepare a variety of goodies from hundreds of pounds of chocolate!

NORTH CONWAY, NH – Santa is on board with his mischievous elves who will be sharing their hot chocolate and cookies with everyone. They’ll take your picture, too, if you ask nicely, so be sure the battery in your cell phone is charged!
Trains run at 11:30 & 1:30 to Conway and back weekends only until December 15, when there are two trains daily through December 23. All excursions are approximately one hour long, round-trip.

The approximate 50 minute haunt features over 15,000 square feet of indoor space through a series of dark rooms, scary mazes and unknown places, plus an outdoor element which leads the unsuspecting through the dark woods with all of the scares and screams you’ve come to expect. Enjoy spooky family fun! We dare you to go for a ride in the Haunted Playground, featuring the Mountain Coaster, Giant Swing and Soaring Eagle Zip Line. The Coaster is a roller-coaster like ride that takes visitors on a 3,600 foot round trip ride up and down the mountain in a 2-person sled mounted on a steel track. The Giant Swing gives 4 people a breath-taking sky-ride. The Soaring Eagle Zip line fleshes out the Haunted Playground letting visitors fly 750 feet up and back down the mountain in a seated zip line. All Haunted Playground rides offer a unique night-time experience with special lighting, effects and the occasional ghost or ghoul when you least expect it. NORTH CONWAY NH – The Climb Against Cancer is an annual event held in September at Cranmore Mountain Resort. It has become symbolic of the hurdles that cancer patients, survivors, and their families must overcome to win the battle against cancer. Many people participate to celebrate survivorship; others come to commemorate the lives of those who lost the battle with cancer. And still others hike to raise money for their friends and neighbors who are being helped by Jen’s Friends. People of all ages participate, and many bring their four-legged family members.
The hike up and down the slopes of Cranmore Mountain is approximately three miles. Participants may choose to hike the entire or partial route.
Kennett Field Hockey TeamThose who hike to the top of the mountain will be rewarded with picturesque views of Mt. Washington, the Presidential Range, Mt. Chocorua and the Moat Mountain range. They will also be entertained with live performances by local singers and dancers. Snacks and water are also provided.
After the hike, participants are treated to lunch and more live entertainment. Awards and prizes are also given out to the teams and individuals who raised the most money.

July 4th Parades, Music and Fireworks in North Conway Village Look forward to a quintessential New England village celebration as the Town of Conway kicks off Independence Day festivities on Wednesday, July 4th with an afternoon parade scheduled tentatively for 1:30pm in Conway Village. Then the festivities later in Schouler Park in NOrth Conway Village.
