Return of the Pumpkin People – October 1-31

JACKSON, NH – We’re off to see the Pumpkin People… This is a self-guided tour of over 70 displays found throughout the area. You will see Pumpkin People doing all kinds of things like hiking, fishing, dancing, flying, cooking and more. You will see that these displays are worth the effort to see each and everyone of them. This event has been delighting visitors and locals alike for forty years! Amazing that this event just keeps on bringing thousands of visitors to our area year after year. You have to experience it to know just how popular it is! Our Pumpkin People have a life of their own!

Pick up a 2024 Map & Guide at any of the participating businesses, the chamber office or request one be mailed to you by emailing info@jacksonnh.com with your address and we will be sure to get one right out to you. You can print one off from our website by clicking on map & guide. For details or questions not answered here just call the chamber at 978-580-0905.

Pope Memorial Library Annual Book Sale – August 31 & September 1

NORTH CONWAY, NH – Join us Labor Day Weekend for our annual sale, where you can fill your shelves with wonderful books, audiobooks, DVDs and CDs and even puzzles – and for less than the cost of one new book! We have been preparing all year to bring you this fantastic end to the summer.​​​

Books are both inside and outside the library (weather permitting), and the book sale continues Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, again weather permitting

NORTH CONWAY NH  – The MWV Farmers Market supports the farmers and food producers of the Mount Washington Valley with community gatherings that celebrate the exchange of local products and promotes access to healthy food for all.

The Mount Washington Valley Farmers’ Market began in November 2020 as a gathering of local food producers and community members who saw a need in this community for a more robust connection between local food producers and residents.

To support the farmers and food producers of the Mount Washington Valley by creating a dynamic space for community gathering that celebrates the exchange of local products and encourages equitable access to healthy food.

North Conway Chili Cookoff – April 7th

NORTH CONWAY NH – If you love food and fun, and who doesn’t, you don’t want to miss the tastiest event of the year!

The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce kicks off spring with the North Conway Chili Cookoff, Sunday, April 7, from 11am-3pm at the North Conway Community Center in North Conway Village. Professional and amateur chefs compete for bragging rights and prizes so come hungry and ready to enjoy chili of all kinds, cornbread, sweet treats, and more.

Tickets are now available to purchase online for $15. Day of the event tickets are $20. Kids 9 and under free!

Join us for a day of fun, music, giveaways and the tastiest chili in the Mt. Washington Valley! Be a part of the action and vote for your favorite chili! You can also enter to win a Hannaford Gift Basket valued at $500.
