NH Sanctioned & Jackson Invitational Snow Sculpting Competition – January 28-30

JACKSON NH – The 21st New Hampshire Sanctioned & Jackson Invitational Snow Sculpting Competition!

This Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce event will be held at Great Glen Trails/Mt. Washington Auto Road in the Jackson Area of New Hampshire. This fabulous location offers guests/visitors not only great cross country skiing, tubing, snow coach rides but creates an incredible background for the viewing of all our sculpting pieces. Check back soon for lots more details as to all the fun that will go with this exciting new experience and venue. We wish to note our thanks to Black Mountain for previous years of hosting this event. This event will now be rotating venues.

The event begins on Friday January 28th at noon with teams from all over the Northeastern part of the United States. The team will sculpt throughout the weekend and finish at noon on Sunday. Spectators are welcome to view the entire process but welcome to return on Sunday the 30th for the finished products. See first hand how our sculptors take 8 foot high by 4 foot round cylinder of compacted snow and create incredible art frozen in time.

Appreciated for his own adaptations of Classic American Hits and known for a great voice and stylistic versatility, Jonathan entertains audiences of all kinds throughout New England and beyond. He has developed his repertoire through decades of professional performing. Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour – November

Exciting news for the 2021 Season: We have added a fifth weekend to our Jingle Bell Chocolate Tours starting Saturday November 20th, Sunday November 21st, Saturday November 27th, Sunday November 28th, Saturday December 4th, Sunday December 5th, Saturday December 11th, Sunday December 12th, with the final weekend being Saturday December 18th and Sunday December 19th, 2021. The Price per ticket is now $32 per person children 2 and under riding on mom/dad’s lap are free. New joining the ranks of Chocolatiers are: the Christmas Farm Inn & Spa and the Inn at Thorn Hill & Spa… joining the expert chocolate making of the Nestlenook Farm, the Inn at Jackson, the Wildcat Inn & Tavern, the Wentworth, An Elegant Country Inn, the J-Town Deli & Country Store, the Snowflake Inn and the RiverWood Inn. If you have a Reserved Seating ticket from 2020 the $30 price is honored.

Tickets are priced at $32 per person. Children 2 or under sitting on your lap not taking chocolate treasures are free. Please be aware although chocolate treasures may not have nuts in them directly they may have come in contact with nuts, nut products or nut oil.!

The $32 ticket purchase includes a Jingle Bell, a festive bag to hold any uneaten hand-made chocolate treasures, a horse drawn Austrian sleigh ride through Jackson Village and hand-made chocolates presented to you right in your sleigh at each stop along the way. (Riders to not get out of sleighs to get their chocolates the proprietors of each business meets the sleighs and presents your chocolate goodies to you!)

Return of the Pumpkin People – September 30 – October 31

This premiere event is celebrating its 37th year. As this event is a self-guided tour it is an easy one to be able to offer even during these challenging times. Mask worn safely over your nose and mouth and you social distancing are mandated. Please keep in mind individual businesses hosting Pumpkin People displays will have their own State Covid19 mandates/regulations and we ask that everyone honors and respects these mandates/regulations to help keep everyone safe. Our businesses hosting Pumpkin People work very hard at creating the displays for your enjoyment… this year there are more than 80 displays. Jackson Covered Bridge Dance – August 7th

Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 18th Jackson Covered Bridge Dance… An “Old Fashioned Block Party” Saturday, August 07, 2021 – 6 PM until Midnight.

JACKSON NH – Dance the night away under the stars and the Jackson Covered Bridge while listening to Jon Sarty and the White Mountain Boys, the local favorite and choice band for this event, (live music starts at 7:30 PM and continues until 10:30 PM)

This event certainly will get your feet moving and, everyone knows, music and dance are good for the soul!

Come early, find your favorite spot, and have something to eat at the visiting food vendor spot. Tables and seating are on a first-come, first-serve basis, therefore, if you do not come early you may want to bring your chairs, blankets, and don’t forget your friends.

Amazingly enough… this Jackson Community Event is FREE thanks to our wonderful sponsors; Flossie’s General Store, Homer’s Appliance Repair, the Inn at Jackson, Whitney’s Inn at Jackson & the Shovel Handle Pub as well as the Inn at Ellis River. We are asking for consideration of a donation of $5 per person which will help with lost revenue due to Covid-19.

If you haven’t been able to attend this event in the past now is your chance… the 2021 Covered Bridge Dance is gearing up to be one of the best community events of the year.

After what we have all been through in 2020 and all the challenges we face by having to isolate and not be able to let loose… music, dance, and friends outdoors is just what we all need to breathe deeply and have some fun!
